Imagine getting on a bus and seeing the woman of your dreams. This was the inspiration for Jennifer.
A young David Quick sat a few rows back from this lovely girl who peered out of the bus window. She was in a dream state; he was possibly wondering where she was going and from where she came. Where was she that day when she was so far away from the bus she had climbed onto? She would later become editor for archaeological magazine Expedition, his wife for 22 years, a wonderful woman he met at a hippy street fair who loves beaches and being in the sun.
This poem is inspirited by a situation many of us have found ourselves in at one time or another when we are attracted to a person without being able to verbalize it.
