Alone

David Quick
Alone
Typescript and magic marker

Before the great adventure, and living in an unfamiliar city where he knew few people, Quick was surely familiar with solitude.  Hanging out in the parks of Philadelphia while writing poems such as this one, he may have felt naked and exposed.  He was alone, yet warmly waiting for others to enter his life.  It would soon happen, as it always does.  During the road trip he met many new friends, some quite notorious.
